Although Poland's in the EU, they've not converted to the Euro yet so the currency is still Zloty (actually means Gold), often abbreviated to Zl on polish products.
The pence equivalent is called 'grosz' so when you see a price 0,50 gr (for a donut for instance) - it means 50 groszy.
The notes start at 10zl and go through 20zl, 50zl, 100zl and 200zl. Coins are 1zl, 2zl (very similar to 2 Eur coin!) and 5zl.
The usual exchange rate to apply is to divide the Polish Zloty price by 5 to get the GBP value (yep, it means everything's pretty good value!)
